April hath put a spirit of youth in everything. — William Shakespeare

Written by admin  //  April 15, 2011  //  Home & Garden, non-profit, Rochester, Springtime  //  No comments

The month of April represents new beginnings, and rebirth. Baseball and trout season both begin in April. Did everyone catch the awesome Redwings Home Opener and their exciting extra-innings win? More importantly, the new buds of spring start to peek out from their winter hiding places hoping it’s safe to finally emerge once again and blossom to full color.

In this issue we explore change, starting with our New Look, New You makeover special section. We thought it would be fun to invite women from four of Rochester’s top not-for-profit organizations to participate in this month’s makeovers. Grab the latest issue and turn right to page 37 to see how our expert stylists from Jacqueline Olivencia International Salon & Spa transformed Gretchen Wood, Jean Carroll, Alli O’Malley and Wendy Mervis. It is absolutely amazing!

With spring in the air, we felt it only fitting that our cover story feature Frances Grossman, of Grossmans Garden and Home. Every month Frances provides her gardening insight and special tips in our Gardening Diva column, but this month we decided to turn the tables and write about her. Her story will leave you thinking about what you can do to “feed your soul” in your own garden.

Plus, don’t forget to check out our special Home and Garden section featuring some great gardening tips, plus products and services from some of our terrific local businesses.

Now that the weather is finally warming up we invite everyone to get out, dust off the barbeque, clean up the deck and enjoy all that spring has to offer! Don’t wait another minute. And bring your latest edition of RWM to enjoy.
